Welcome to the final episode of our first season! It's been an incredible journey exploring all the elements that go into researching, landing and excelling in the workplace. Today, represents your investment.

We've spent Season 1 talking about the importance of having a current & professional resume, LinkedIn profile and a positive social media persona from (episode #5). These are three of the many facets in presenting yourself as a desirable candidate and being competitive in today’s job market.

Once you land the interview, asking the right questions is key in demonstrating your enthusiasm and preparedness for the role. Being able to respond to STAR questions and being laser focused on what makes you both qualified and a stand out candidate.

The process doesn't end once you receive a written job offer from (episode #9). It’s a new beginning. It's essential to thoroughly review and understand your employee handbook to ensure you're meeting all expectations and responsibilities. This will set you up for success from day one.

Once you're in your new role, it's important to go beyond meeting expectations – you want to exceed expectations. This can be achieved by setting clear, actionable objectives for yourself or (SMART goals from episode #2) and consistently delivering high-quality work.

Maintaining a positive approach to solving problems and working collaboratively will go a long way in adding value and being recognized by stakeholders and decision makers.

By combining all of these elements – from the initial application process to excelling in your role – you can position yourself for a successful and fulfilling career (revisit episode #3).

This season also brought to light for employers how important it is to have an HR Business Partner guide you through the interview process, compensation & benefits, having an employee handbook and investing in your team’s professional growth.

I hope this season has provided valuable insights and action items that you can immediately implement in your own career, business and personal life. Very often, it starts with a blend of awareness and desire to be better and achieve more.
